Amiga Specialty, an independent international general agent (MGA), has secured new capabilities from Lloyd’s to support its management responsibility proposition for SMEs and mid-market businesses in the UK, Europe and selected other markets around the world.

The Management Liability Proposition enhances the firm’s ability to provide underwriting-led solutions for directors and senior managers and wider management liability risks, providing brokers with the responsive, commercially minded capabilities supported by Lloyd’s.

The business is led by James Rasmussen, who was appointed Managing Director UK and European Management Responsibility in September 2025.

Rasmussen is responsible for leading product line development, setting strategic priorities and working closely with Amiga’s capacity partners to deliver enhanced services and products to brokers.

The new facility focuses on the UK and Europe as core regions, while retaining the flexibility to support international business and cross-border operations where appropriate.

Rasmussen commented: “This Lloyd’s-backed facility reinforces our underwriting-led approach, combining rigorous judgment with speed, clarity and a true understanding of risk. It brings additional, meaningful capacity to the London market.”

Adam Kembrooke, Group Managing Director and Founder of Amiga Specialty, added: “Securing Lloyd’s capabilities is an important step in increasing the scale of Amiga Specialty. The management liability proposition benefits significantly from Lloyd’s reputation and licensing infrastructure, reinforcing our commitment to underwriting-led growth, long-term broker partnerships and building expert teams around people we trust.”
