Pricing for the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N starts at Rs. 1.199 million (ex-showroom)
While the all-new 2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N was revealed some time ago, Mahindra has announced all the details about its latest SUV, and it’s impressive on paper. It features an all-new design and a range of segment-first features and conveniences. The all-new Scorpion-N has been around for a long time, and while all the details about the new SUV have been revealed, Mahindra has yet to reveal pricing for the top-of-the-line automatic and four-wheel-drive models. So aside from the price of some trims, here’s everything you need to know about the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N.

Starting with the design, the new Scorpio-N features a fresh, bold design while retaining its boxy silhouette. Up front, the Mahindra Scorpio-N has a new grille with six slats, a new Mahindra logo in the middle and a honeycomb mesh for the air dam below. LED binocular projector headlights are a new addition to the Scorpio-N, as are the LED fog lights that sit between the C-shaped LED daytime running lights. The hood has strong lines that accentuate its SUV stance. The SUV is also significantly larger. The new model is 206mm long, 70mm wheelbase, 97mm wide and 138mm high. The ground clearance of the new Scorpio-N is 187mm. The 2022 Scorpio-N will be offered in five trims, the Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 and the range-topping Z8L. The new Scorpio-N will come in six- and seven-seat configurations and get a front third row.

There will be a choice of three engines, a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 200 bhp at 5,000 rpm and 370 Nm between 1,750-3,000 rpm on the 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic and 380 Nm of peak torque respectively options. Likewise, there will be a 2.2-liter diesel engine in both states. The more powerful variant will produce a peak torque of 172 bhp at 3,500 rpm, the manual variant with 370 Nm of torque at 1,500-3,000 rpm and the automatic transmission’s torque output reaching 400 Nm at 1,750-2,750 rpm. The lower-spec engine will produce 130 bhp at 3,750 rpm and a peak torque output of 300 Nm at 1,500-3,000 rpm. The low-spec diesel engine will only be available with a 6-speed manual transmission. Mahindra said the new Scorpio-N has the lowest CO2 emissions in its segment.
Features and Technology

This is where the new generation of Scorpios shines. It gets a range of segment-first features such as integrated Alexa from Amazon, what3words navigation, Adrenox connected car technology with more than 70 features. Then, you’ll also get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Zomato, JustDial, TickerTape, AccuWeather, and a host of apps. There are front and rear cameras as well as sensors, dual-zone fully automatic climate control, wireless phone charging and a dual-dial cluster with a TFT display. The Scorpio-N also gets Sony’s 12-speaker 3D audio system. Three drive modes are available – Zip, Zap and Zoom. There’s a 20.32cm touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and a 17.78cm driver information display.

In terms of safety features, the new Scorpio-N is topped with 6 airbags, driver drowsiness detection which is a segment priority function, tire pressure monitoring system, dynamic stability control, hill hold, hill Drop, trailer sway mitigation, rollover mitigation and other active and passive safety features.

In typical Scorpio fashion, the new generation Scorpio-N features the new 4XPLOR Terrain Management System as well as electronically variable four-wheel drive, which is said to be optimized for different terrains such as sand, snow, mud and tarmac. In addition, the new The Scorpio features mechanical and brake locking differentials and a double wishbone front suspension with 225mm of travel and a five-link suspension at the rear, using watt links to maintain left-right symmetry and maintain sharp centerline turns Rear axle.The new Scorpio also gets segmented first frequency dependent damping (FDD) as well as rigid crash compliant structures and a next-generation platform that makes the Scorpio-N even more robust on rough terrain.

Prices for the new Scorpio-N start at Rs 1.199 lakh and go up to Rs 1.949 lakh (ex-showroom in India) Now keep in mind that prices for automatic and 4WD models will be announced on July 21, 2022. Deliveries of the new SUV will begin on July 30, with deliveries starting during the festive period. Mahindra will retain the introductory price for the first 25,000 bookings, after which the price may increase.
