Senegalese American superstar Akon announced another futuristic digital currency city to be built in Africa. The Ugandan government will provide him with land to build a new cryptocurrency city. The akoin cryptocurrency will be used in cities, similar to the way it is used in Akon City. Akon City is a $6 billion “real Wakanda” currently built in Akon’s home country.
Senegalese American star and philanthropist Akon’s real name is Alioune Badara Thiam (Alioune Badara Thiam) announced his plan last week to build a second futuristic cryptocurrency city in Africa . Its home will be in Uganda.
His first cryptocurrency city, Akon City, cost $6 billion and is being built in his native Senegal. Akon described it as the “Wakanda in reality” and compared Akon City with technologically advanced fictional African cities in the blockbuster “Black Panther”.
Akon’s new cryptocurrency city is supported by the Ugandan government. Uganda’s Minister of State for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Isaac Musumba, stated at a press conference last week that the government will find suitable land for Akon for a square mile or more. Build a new cryptocurrency city. The Minister explained in detail:
He and his team will have a suitable place not less than one square mile in Uganda so that he can use resources and investment, attract investors, manage projects and own a city.
According to local media, the new cryptocurrency city will use Akon’s own cryptocurrency (based on Stellar’s akoin), similar to the way planned in Senegal’s Akon City.
The Akoin cryptocurrency has been used in Kenya’s Mwale Medical Technology City (MMTC) as a pilot project for Akon City. MMTC’s main investor, Julius Mwale, stated in November last year: “We will fully use akoin by the end of 2021.”
When asked by Akon about whether Ugandans can afford the future Akon City, the singer replied: “I know if I put it there, they will find an affordable way because it will inspire They…Ultimately, when you create opportunities, people grow with the opportunity, people learn with the opportunity, and people are motivated by it.”
Akon also shared his vision and emphasized that “Africa is our goal”. The singer elaborated: “To build the African continent, we need to unite and achieve this goal together,” he added:
My real call is to develop Africa, no matter what the price is.
As for Uganda’s cryptocurrency city, he pointed out: “The idea is to use all the resources we have built over the years and try to rebuild the country.”
He specifically said: “We will have some professionals we plan to fly to Uganda to train locals. I think one of the things we miss in major countries is access to information. We need to receive proper training not only in construction It also includes property management and then property maintenance.” The construction of Uganda’s cryptocurrency city is scheduled to be completed in 2036. Akon came to the following conclusions:
We want everything to behave as expected, but as we continue to move forward with all the necessary support, I think this is a very achievable goal.
