Lloyds Group AEGIS London has announced the appointment of Neil Bayles as its newly created Chief Information Officer (CIO).
In his new role, Bayles will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s IT strategy, ensuring it aligns with and supports broader business objectives.
A key aspect of his role is to strategically use technology to improve service quality and leverage emerging technologies to enhance AEGIS London’s competitive position in the market.
Bayles will report directly to Marianne Harvey, chief operating officer of AEGIS London. She said: Digitalization, data and artificial intelligence are one of AEGIS London’s key strategic priorities and we have made significant investments in these areas to improve the way our business operates, serves clients and brokerage partners and trades with the market.
“Neil has extensive experience of driving transformative technology projects in the London market and the wider financial services sector, and he will play a key role in ensuring our IT strategy is closely aligned with and supports the long-term success of AEGIS London.”
Bayles is a seasoned IT executive with extensive experience in the insurance and financial services sectors.
Prior to joining AEGIS London, he was Solution Delivery Director at People’s Partnership. He also spent a decade of his career at QBE, holding a variety of positions during his time with the company.
