Accelerant is a data-led risk exchange platform that connects specialty insurance companies with capital partners through the Accelerant Risk Exchange. Following a previously announced leadership transition, the platform has appointed Linda S. Huber as chief financial officer.
Linda S. Huber has extensive experience in financial services, including nearly two decades as chief financial officer of a public company. She will lead Accelerant’s global finance function, responsible for accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury and tax, reporting to CEO Jeff Radke.
Huber most recently served as FactSet’s executive vice president and chief financial officer from 2021 to 2024, where he oversaw all global financial activities, including accounting, corporate development, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax and investor relations.
Prior to joining FactSet, she served as chief financial officer and treasurer of MSCI and executive vice president and chief financial officer of Moody’s Corporation.
Earlier in his career, Huber held a number of senior positions in financial services and industry. These include executive vice president and chief financial officer of US Trust Company, a unit of Charles Schwab & Company; managing director of The Freeman Company; vice president of corporate strategy and development and assistant treasurer of PepsiCo; vice president of energy investment banking at Bankers Trust; and assistant in the natural resources group of First Boston Corporation.
She also served as a member of the Bank of Montreal’s Board of Directors from April 2017 to August 2024, where she contributed to the Audit and Conduct Review Committee and the Risk Review Committee.
Huber served as a captain in the United States Army from 1980 to 1984. She holds an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Lehigh University.
Huber replaces Jay Green, who resigned to pursue personal interests.
“We are delighted to welcome Linda to the team,” commented Radke. “Linda brings extensive experience as a public company CFO in leading data and information services businesses, a proven track record of financial discipline and execution, and is a valuable addition to our already strong finance team.”
“I am delighted to be part of Accelerant,” added Huber. “The company’s unique platform, underpinned by proprietary data and technology, is changing the way specialty insurance is delivered to the market. I look forward to helping Accelerant achieve its goal of becoming the preeminent specialty insurance marketplace.”
